Suffolk artist Kate Mawdsley has established herself as a versatile artist who enjoys the challenge of any subject matter. She is probably most well known for her dog and cat images but is equally happy painting thistles, moo cows and snowmen! Kate originally trained as a textile designer but fell into illustration work when her designs were published as gift wrap and framed prints. Kate has used her skills to create designs for Anne and Derek Laughland of Castle Melamine for over 15 years and enjoys ‘bouncing around’ ideas with them both to create a unique Scottish look for their products.
